Make your message move

  • Create a scrolling text banner.

Turn a short message into a marquee text GIF for an email, website, or chat. Choose a font and colors, add decorative separators, and scroll your text left or right. Start from a preset or build a banner around your own words.

  • Show messages one at a time.

Use Slide mode to display up to three messages in sequence. Give each one its own colors, choose a transition, and set the pause between changes. Download a single GIF that carries your announcement without needing a video player or custom code.

Scrolling text in emails

  • Flash sales

Place a scrolling banner above your products to introduce the offer. Keep it short: a discount, an end date, or “Weekend sale” is enough.

  • Special announcements

Introduce a launch, store opening, or update with a scrolling headline. Match your email’s colors, then explain the news in the text below.

  • Exclusive offers

Show the offer, then reveal the code in a second sliding message. Leave time to read both, and repeat the code beside your shop link.

How to make scrolling text

  1. Enter your message

Type up to three short messages. Add a decorative separator to each one if needed.

  2. Choose a mode

Use Scroll for a moving marquee or Slide to show messages one after another.

  3. Style your banner

Choose fonts and colors. Set the scroll direction or the slide transition and delay.

  4. Generate and download

Click Generate, check the preview, and download your scrolling text GIF.

Common questions

  • What does this scrolling text generator make?

It turns short messages into downloadable GIF banners. Scroll mode moves text horizontally like a marquee; Slide mode shows messages one at a time with transitions. You do not need to upload an image.

  • Is the scrolling text GIF maker free?

Yes. You can generate and download GIFs for free, without registering or adding a watermark.

  • What is the difference between Scroll and Slide?

Scroll moves your messages continuously to the left or right. Slide displays them separately, with effects such as sliding up or down, fading, zooming, or wiping between messages.

  • Can I change the scrolling speed?

Scroll mode currently has no speed setting. In Slide mode, you can set a delay from 0.5 to 2.5 seconds between messages. That delay controls the pause, not the scrolling speed.

  • How many messages can I add?

You can add up to three messages. Keep each one short enough to read at the size where you plan to use the GIF.

  • Can I put scrolling text in an email?

Yes, insert the downloaded GIF as an image in your email editor. Animation support varies by email app and settings, so test before sending and keep essential information in the email text too. Larger GIFs take longer to load; use the GIF compressor if needed.

  • Can I use a marquee GIF on my website?

Yes. Upload it as an image where your website supports GIFs. The text is part of the image, so add descriptive alt text and keep important details available as ordinary page text.

  • Can I make an LED banner GIF?

You can combine a dot-style font, contrasting colors, and scrolling or blinking effects for an LED-style banner. The output is a GIF file, rather than a live full-screen LED display.

  • Will my font support other languages?

Character support depends on the selected font. Check the generated preview for missing letters or symbols, and choose another font if any characters do not render correctly.

  • Can I add this text to an existing GIF?

This tool creates a standalone text banner. To place a caption over your own GIF, image, or video, use Add text to GIF.

  • How do I keep the text readable on a phone?

Use short messages, a clear font, and strong contrast. Preview the GIF at its intended display size. For several separate points, try Slide mode with a longer delay instead of a long scrolling sentence.
